Getting A Lift In Nan

Street Food in Thailand

We were awakened at 6.30am this morning, by an announcement from the village chief. I didn't feel inconvenienced by it at all, it amused me, I'm glad it happened while we were here. He starts off by playing some music for about five minutes, just to make sure everyone is awake before he starts talking.

I felt sad saying goodbye to Laetitia and Yui. It's the first homestay I've ever done and I'll definitely do more in the future, it's a much more intimate experience – you feel like you become part of the family and I felt like I got a little deeper than the surface to some of the ways of life here in Thailand, it was a valuable experience.
